Hope you are all doing well! It is getting close to June 30th… Which is our SURVEY LOCK IN DAY!
Please make sure that you have the right selections on your Backerkit survey before June 30th, and that they have been completed! You should have received a confirmation email if your survey has been completed! Once you do, you’ll be golden! 😊✨

Hey all,
Thank you all so much for your patience!! The Backerkit survey is officially all sent out!
If you didn't receive a survey, check your spam folder or reach out to us via Kickstarter DMs with a new email address so we can send you a new survey!
Also, we are seeing some questions that came from people that have already filled out the survey and we’d like to offer some clarifications!
“Your name in credits” reward - apparently people with this reward are not seeing the survey question prompts. Once surveys are locked, we will know who we still need names from and we will find an alternative way to collect your information for this reward.
Shipping prices - Shipping for physical goods can be costly and we’d love for everyone to get their goods as soon as possible so we’ve decided to ship the stickers as soon as we can, ahead of the plushies. Which means the stickers have a separate shipping fee of $3 for USA domestic and $5 for internationals. We apologize for the confusion!
Updating pledge levels - You may not update your pledge level through Backerkit at this time. (We can only manually update your pledge at this time, please DM us on Kickstarter if you wish to do so)
Double the outfits for lower tier - We saw some confusion about how many outfits lower tiers got, and we’ve decided that due to the success of the campaign we will offer double moth outfits to lower tier backers as a thank you! We apologize for the change, when it seems like there’s confusion or if our original information wasn’t clear enough about rewards we try to be more generous when we can!
Refunds - Our refund period has ended but we will review refund requests on a case by case basis. Please DM us on Kickstarter and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
Double surveys - Due to the large volume of surveys sent, Backerkit may have sent out duplicates to some backers. We’ll investigate this issue and please let us know if you’re able access your completed survey to double check if all your information is correct.
Changing Platforms - You can change your platforms as long as we haven’t sent out your final game key. We’ll update you all on how we plan to collect that information.

Shipping Dates - ALL ARE ESTIMATED EARLY 2023. Stickers will ship earlier and art books will not ship until after the final game release date.
For all non-physical rewards: we’ll be sending out/collecting info as needed as we get closer to important dates like alpha launch and final game release!
In game add-ons:
We’ll send out information via email about how to redeem these rewards once we get into alpha and early access! Examples include:

Alpha Discord:
We’re working on this now! It should be ready to open its doors in the next month or so, and we’ll be trickling out channels as they become necessary (bug related channels as the alpha launches, etc).
Digital OST:
The soundtrack will be produced in concert with the game! As we work with our composer we’ll give all of you sneak peeks, but the final soundtrack will be coming closer to the final release of the game. We’ll distribute more information closer to the final release!
Exclusive dev streams:
We’ll be starting regular monthly exclusive dev streams with various members of our team in the next couple months, so keep an eye out! We’ll distribute information about how to join via email!
Suggestion Board Access:
The suggestion board will open as we get closer to the Alpha launch! We’ll send info via email as we get closer!
Behind the scenes art and story access:
We’re currently building out our team, and our team members are doing some less visual work like building out internal documentation for new members, once that is done we’ll begin regular updates via the appropriate channels! We’ll also get input from all of you on where would be most convenient for you to see these as we start getting ready to share these with you!
Collaborative rewards:
For most collaborative rewards we won’t be ready to start working with all of you until we’re at least part way through alpha. Once we’re ready, we’ll reach out to you with more information! Examples of collaborative rewards include:

Backerkit Survey Update!

Thank you so much for all of your patience, we come to you with an update!
Due to the large number of backers it’s taking a bit longer to send the survey than initially expected. They are being sent out in waves to help reduce volume! All surveys should be out in the next couple days! We’re not going to give an exact time frame as this is out of our control, but we will post another update once we’ve confirmed all the surveys are sent!
We will delay locking in the survey until June 30th due to this unforeseen circumstance!
Rest assured we’ll be working diligently to see if we can get the survey sent out in the next few days! We will post any notable updates regarding this matter, please be on the lookout for future posts.
We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and best wishes, you all give us so much energy and passion throughout the process!

What’s next?
Now comes the fun part, getting back into making the game! We’ll send more info about specific rewards via email throughout the game development, but here is a rough overview of our next steps for the game itself!
The first step is to go back to planning! Since the Kickstarter went way better than we expected, the team is going to spend some time re-assessing the project scope to make sure we’re making best use of the new resources we have. We expect this to take 1-2 months.
As we’re doing this, we want to bring on some more talent! We’re looking to expand our art team, and solidify relationships with studios we’ve been talking to who will help make the more involved technical aspects of the game a reality. With an updated budget and scope, we’re going to revise our plans with our partners and prepare to move forward there as quickly as we can! We expect this to take 2-4 months. Working with partners and recruiting talent can take time, but it’s far more important to us to find the right people and lay a solid foundation than it is to rush into things quickly. Finding the right people and building a solid plan will let us keep the project vision on track and on schedule!
Once that is done, we’ll be fully equipped to bring this game to life, and we expect things to move much more quickly! Expect sparse updates while we’re reorganizing and rebuilding, followed by more frequent and substantive updates later this year once we have our process ironed out and our teams rolling.
We are looking forward to updating you all with what we'll be up to, and we cannot wait to deliver to you all a game that we put all of our heart and effort into! We appreciate you all so much, cheers to a great start of an incredible journey!

Our Kickstarter has come to an end and wow… This month has been absolutely UNREAL… None of us thought that we’d go beyond the skies. We want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. YOU made Island Skies possible, we can’t express our gratitude for all the love and support.
Can’t believe that this little sketch is now coming to fruition. Thank you.
And now… Here’s what’s going to happen after the Kickstarter…
Payment will be collected through Kickstarter, any payment issues will need to be corrected by MAY 13th!! Otherwise Kickstarter will remove your pledge. The charge will not have gone through and you won’t receive rewards.
